Wayne Rooney has heavily criticized "The United Strand."

Manchester United’s Top Goal Scorer, Wayne Rooney, has slammed Frank Ilett, the United fan who has decided to grow his hair till his team wins five games in a row.

After sacking Ruben Amorin and appointing Carrick as a Manager till the end of the season, United were on four games winning streak, winning against arch rivals Man City, Arsenal, Fulham, and Spurs.

With just one win remaining to get a trim, “The United Strand” got attention from the media and fans from around the world, causing Rooney to be absolutely rattled.

The conversation shifted from being a team to just supporting an individual, according to the 40-year-old.

He told the press, “I’d put him to the other side of the country, he’s doing my head in.” It has been around 500 days since the fan got a haircut.

Before the match with West Ham, who sit 18th, the fan was also seen with Spanish World Cup Winner Gerard Piqué.

Man United had to settle for a draw, as Šeško came off the bench to cancel out Tomáš Souček’s opener.

After the frustrating draw, Wayne Rooney poured his Support to his former teammate, Carrick, who was verge of winning five matches in a row, for the first time in over two years.

He added, “We’re talking about Carrick and United trying to win their fifth game in a row and the whole thing is about this guy getting his haircut.”

The United Strand, after he decided to start the “No Haircut” Challenge, has gained a massive following on his socials, with the count reaching over one and half million.

Rooney suggests the football fans are getting more concerned about the “Hair Guy” rather than enjoying games and supporting their team.

He also said the fan would be “irrelevant” if Man United had won five games in a row. “I bet he’d be devastated if United win the fifth game because all of a sudden he’s irrelevant”.

Manchester United, who currently sit fourth with 45 points from 26 games, will face another of Wayne Rooney’s former teams, Everton, on February 23.

Having only the Premier League to play for, the Red Devils would be targeting at least a Champions League place ahead of the next season.
