Politician Pam Bondi is not Israeli despite online rumors fueled by her strong support against the October 7 Hamas attacks, antisemitism cases, and Epstein file handling under Trump.
So far, no information anywhere shows her connection to Israeli citizenship. Born on November 17, 1965, Pam is a fourth-generation Floridian from Tampa, Florida.
The speculation surrounding her being Israeli ignited mostly because of how strongly she has supported Israel during her time as U.S. Attorney General.
She set up a special task force in the Department of Justice to look into the Hamas attacks from October 7, 2023, went after cases involving antisemitism, and spoke at events put on by groups like the Israeli-American Council.
Likewise, Pam helped make sure Jewish students on college campuses got their rights protected through settlements at universities.
When someone in a powerful position like her takes those kinds of steps, it draws attention from critics.
Some folks on several social platforms, like Reddit threads, Instagram comments, and various conspiracy-oriented forums, began calling her things like a “lackey for Israel.”
From there, a few jumped to wilder ideas with bigger conspiracy stories floating around about Jeffrey Epstein. There have long been theories linking Epstein to Israeli intelligence, like Mossad.
Pam Bondi has played a part in dealing with decisions and statements about the Epstein files and documents during this administration. Hence, this has caused some folks in certain pro-Trump online groups and in places that criticize Israel to start saying she or other people Trump picked might be hiding information or secretly tied to Israeli interests.
Nonetheless, none of it holds up when you look at her actual heritage or life story. It is all speculation and not facts about who she is or where she comes from.
Talking about her real citizenship and ethnicity, Pam is American with roots mostly in Italian heritage on her father’s side.
Her father, Joseph C. Bondi Jr., came from a family whose great-grandparents emigrated from Campania in Italy. He even served as mayor of Temple Terrace, a suburb near Tampa, and worked in education.
Pam grew up there, went to local schools like C. Leon King High School, then on to the University of Florida and Stetson for law.
She has built her whole career in American law and politics, from prosecutor to Florida’s first female attorney general, and now as the U.S. attorney general.
