Tyler Reddick Son Update
Tyler shared his son is doing well and continuing to recover.

Tyler Reddick is an American professional NASCAR Cup Series racing driver currently competing full-time in the No. 45 Toyota Camry for 23XI Racing.

He’s a two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series champion and won the 2026 Daytona 500.

In 2025, Tyler Reddick and his wife, Alexa, faced a frightening family health crisis when their infant son, Rookie, was diagnosed with a tumor affecting his chest and heart shortly after birth.

The condition led to signs of heart failure and required an extended stay in the cardiovascular intensive care unit.

As part of his treatment, Rookie underwent major surgery, including the removal of a kidney.

Recent updates from Tyler Reddick and his family paint a much more hopeful picture.

Rookie has been able to come home from the hospital and is doing well following his surgeries and treatments.

Alexa Reddick, wife of Tyler Reddick, previously shared that the tumor was restricting blood flow to Rookie’s kidney and forcing his heart to work harder, which caused it to enlarge.

Doctors later determined the kidney was no longer functioning and made the decision to remove it as part of his treatment.

Following the major surgery, Rookie’s health has steadily improved.

Reddick shared that his son “did great” and has been thriving, even being present for special family moments like celebrations surrounding his father’s Daytona 500 victory.

Doctors have continued to closely monitor Rookie during his recovery.

Moreover, Reddick has expressed deep gratitude and relief, praising both his son’s progress and the medical team that supported them through such a difficult journey.
