Brooklyn Nine-Nine, an American police procedural sitcom which aired on Fox and NBC, is leaving Netflix Canada, and Canadian fans are absolutely devastated.

It aired on Fox from September 17, 2013, to May 20, 2018, and later on NBC, from January 10, 2019, to September 16, 2021.

If you’re looking for a TV show that blends hilarious comedy with surprising heart, look no further than “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” This American sitcom is a fan-favorite for a reason.

Dan Goor and Michael Schur created the series, which is set in the 99th Precinct of the NYPD. While they do solve crimes, the main focus is on the hilarious and lovable detectives who work there.

It follows serious Captain Raymond Holt and childish but brilliant detective, Jake Peralta, as they and their colleagues learn to work as a team.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is famous for its rapid-fire jokes, hilarious cold opens, and running gags.

The characters genuinely care for each other, and their genuine heart make the show special. Their friendships evolve, they support each other through tough times, and their relationships feel real.

After five seasons, Fox suddenly cancelled the show in 2018, sparking an enormous fan outcry. The very next day, NBC picked it up for a sixth season and ran for three more seasons, concluding with a final, emotional 10-episode season in 2021.

Canadian Fans Are Saying Goodbye to Their Favorite Cop Comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the beloved police sitcom that captured hearts for eight seasons, is officially leaving Netflix Canada.

The news has hit the Canadian comedy fans, who rely on the streaming giant for their daily dose of Jake Peralta and Captain Holt, absolutely devastated.

Many fans are now scrambling to find an alternative platform to continue their re-watches or finally catch the series finale they’ve been putting off.

While the timing may feel sudden for loyal viewers, the departure is a classic case of “all good things must come to an end.” The series was previously scheduled to be removed after September 16th.

As tough as it is to hear, films and TV shows are removed from Netflix on a fairly regular basis. Most titles have a licensing window of a full year or sometimes two.

Literally every day, some country says this. A comment of mine got removed from promoting what I’ll attempt to call “yo ho ho” sites. Anyway, DM me for details!

While it’s sad to see a fan-favorite go, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing for the platform as a whole. The constant rotation means the content library stays fresh, with new films and TV series always waiting in the wings to replace the old ones.

Joining Brooklyn Nine-Nine on the list of titles leaving Netflix Canada this month are a mix of classics and modern blockbusters.

They are Battleship, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, Abominable, Eeb Allay Ooo!, The Meg, The Good House, Killer Elite, Plane, Scream, Sixteen Candles, Taxi, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine have a limited time to stream their favorite heists and Halloween episodes before the streaming service removes them.
