A little two-year-old Genises Nova Reid vanished from her Enterprise, AL home on Feb 16, 2026; neighbors say she hasn’t been seen in weeks, with her mother now viewed as suspicious.

Genises Nova Reid has gone missing since early Monday morning, and this all started when her mother called the police and said she woke up to find Genises not in her bed anymore.

Reportedly, the front door to their home on Apache Drive was standing open, so that’s when the search got going right away.

In no time, police from Enterprise put out a notice saying the child might be in danger and asked everyone to keep an eye out.

At first, some reports said she was 3 years old, but it turned out she’s actually 2, with her third birthday coming up in March.

She’s a Black girl with brown eyes and black hair, about two feet five inches tall, and around 30 to 35 pounds.

When she was last seen, people say she had on pink Minnie Mouse pajamas.

In no time, lots of help came in to look for her, including Enterprise Police, Coffee County Sheriff’s deputies, local fire departments, the State Bureau of Investigation, and even FBI agents, who showed up, including more agents later in the day.

Similarly, neighbors got involved, too, starting searches around four in the morning in the Apache Drive area. Police didn’t call for big public search groups, though.

The strange part that has everyone talking is what neighbors are saying. Several people who live around there told reporters they haven’t seen little Genises in weeks, maybe not since Christmas or even early January.

One neighbor mentioned they used to see her and her mom out walking all the time, but that stopped a while back. Another said their own kid played with Genises often, but not lately.

Then there’s Tyler McGowan, who ran into the mother alone in a store on Valentine’s Day. He asked where Genises was, and she just said “I don’t knowand walked off quickly. That seemed odd to him because they’re usually together.

Some trusted sources close to the investigation told news people that neighbors told police the girl hasn’t been around Apache Drive for about a month. The rent office even said they saw her with her mom around January 8.

Meanwhile, folks are saying the mother, Adrienne, was taken in for questioning by police, and so far she’s not saying much.

In fact, people around from neighbors claiming she’s been acting really strange lately, like burning things behind the apartment complex.

The girl’s grandmother spoke out too, pleading for anyone who knows anything to come forward, no matter what state or county.

She said Genises wasn’t given away willingly and begged people to call the police or message through Facebook or any way they could.

Police are still trying to put together what really happened and confirm the mother’s story.

They’re asking anyone who has seen Genises since the start of the year to call Enterprise Police right away. They planned an announcement around 3:30 that afternoon, and with the FBI there, it’s clear this is being taken very seriously.
