Daryl Knox and Suzanne Jordan from Las Vegas laid the groundwork for their daughter, LSU forward Grace Knox, to excel in women's basketball.

Grace Knox, a five-star forward from LSU and one of the top talents of the 2025 class, is a 6’2″ standout from Las Vegas known for her athleticism, rebounding skills, and relentless energy.

She made her collegiate debut on November 4, 2025, scoring 10 points in a dominant 108–55 win over Houston Christian, and she’s continued to shine as a freshman for the Tigers.

Grace Knox with her Parents

Behind her success stands a supportive family, especially her parents, Daryl Knox and Suzanne Jordan. Growing up in Las Vegas, Grace was always full of energy as a kid.

Her mom, Suzanne, recalls how young Grace would run, jump, and climb over anything in sight, trees, fire hydrants, you name it.

A gym teacher noticed this boundless restlessness during an elementary school track meet in third grade and suggested she sign up. Grace entered and won all nine events without any prior track experience.

Suzanne knew right away she had something special on her hands.

Suzanne Jordan, who still lives in Las Vegas and works in property management at Transwestern Commercial Services (and previously with similar roles), channeled that energy first into track and field.

It was a natural fit for her daughter’s explosive athleticism. Later, as Grace shifted her focus to basketball, Suzanne remained her biggest supporter.

She keeps an active Instagram account under the handle “proudmom_grace_gmoney1,” where she shares clips of Grace’s games, practice moments, stadium highlights, and achievements. It’s clear how proud and involved she is in her daughter’s journey.

Grace often expresses her gratitude publicly. On Mother’s Day, she posted a sweet photo with her mom on Instagram Stories, holding up a keychain gift that read “Grace 23.” She captioned it:

“happy mothers day, ma biggest supporter. Lova ya foreva❤️.”

That kind of love and appreciation shows the close bond they share.

Her father, Daryl Knox, also played a huge role in shaping Grace’s basketball career. Daryl was a standout defensive end at UNLV, where he still holds the program’s career sacks record, 40 years after his college days ended. He even spent two seasons in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

That same explosive power he used to chase quarterbacks now shows up when Grace attacks the boards or drives to the hoop.

When Grace dreamed of playing in the NFL as a kid, but later turned to basketball, Daryl stepped in to help her train seriously. His guidance during her upbringing in Las Vegas helped build the foundation for her elite skills.

Grace’s path took her from Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas (where she averaged solid numbers as a freshman) to Etiwanda High School in California after an injury sidelined her sophomore year.

At Etiwanda, she bounced back strong, averaging double-doubles, leading her team to a national championship, and earning honors like McDonald’s All-American and Nike Hoop Summit selection.

She chose LSU because of Coach Kim Mulkey’s track record for developing players, the team’s culture, branding opportunities, and the genuine passion she felt from the staff.

With parents who both understand high-level athletics, Daryl from football, and Suzanne as her constant cheerleader, Grace Knox has the perfect support system.

Their influence is evident in her work ethic, positive energy, and ability to thrive under pressure.

As she continues to grow at LSU, it’s no surprise she’s already earning praise and making noise in the SEC. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in this talented family.
