The sources confirmed that Sarasota resident Drayton Lutz died unexpectedly leaving everyone devastated.
Drayton Lutz was a 2024 graduate of Fisher High School in Fisher, Illinois, where he was a multi-sport athlete in baseball and basketball.
Standing 6’4” and weighing 210 pounds, Lutz played varsity baseball as a first baseman, third baseman, and pitcher, wearing jersey #29. He also competed on the varsity basketball team, wearing #12.
During the 2024 baseball season, Lutz appeared in 23 games and posted a .254 batting average with 18 hits, 6 RBIs, and 6 runs scored.
He recorded a .303 on-base percentage and demonstrated strong defensive ability, finishing with a .992 fielding percentage.
His fielding performance ranked him 52nd in Illinois, 10th in Division 1A, and 2nd in the Heart of Illinois conference.
Throughout the season, Lutz contributed in several key matchups.
Notable performances included multi-hit games against Ridgeview and Cissna Park, helping Fisher secure important victories. He maintained consistent defensive reliability, recording multiple games with a perfect fielding percentage.

Fisher High School basketball and baseball player Drayton Lutz tragically passed away in February 2026. However, the cause of death has not been revealed yet.
Dianna Lutz Stiegler took to her official Facebook handle to announce the tragic news. She wrote,
