Marc Christopher Damon was a 50-year-old man from Wheaton, Illinois, USA, who passed away on February 7, 2026, just days before what would have been his 51st birthday.
He died after suffering a massive heart attack and a brief battle afterward, and was surrounded by loved ones, including his wife at the time of his passing.
Marc was a lifelong entrepreneur who started working at a young age. He first sold products at a Yamaha store before moving into car sales.
Later, he became an internet manager at a Ford dealership.
Frustrated with the limits of auto industry advertising and website tools, he decided to create something better.
Teaching himself how to code using library books, he co-founded Dealer Inspire, which grew into a multimillion-dollar company with more than 400 employees in just five years.
Outside of business, Marc loved boats and cars, but aviation was his greatest passion.
He began working at Aurora Airport as a teenager and quickly developed a talent for flying, eventually earning his private, instrument, and commercial pilot licenses.
After selling his company, he fulfilled his dream of owning a plane and flew family and friends to places like Alaska, Turks and Caicos, Europe, and Wisconsin.
One of his proudest moments was inspiring his wife to earn her own pilot’s license, and together they volunteered for Angel Flights.
Regarding his marriage, he was married to his loving wife, Christy Damon.
He was a devoted father to his cherished sons Zavier (12) and Isaac (9), who survived him along with other family members.
Likewise, he is survived by his mother, Laurel Serrurier; his brothers, Todd Damon, Scott Damon, and half-brother Nick Damon; and an extended family.
Also, he was predeceased in death by his father, Richard Damon.
In reference to the celebration of life, family and friends will gather to remember Marc Christopher Damon during a visitation on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home in Carol Stream, Illinois.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held the following day, Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., also at Hultgren Funeral Home.
