Corina Hicks, better known as Coco Hicks, and her father, Andy, passed away in a tragic accident in February 2026. Whereas her mother and brother are still in the ICU.
The volleyball community and many others are grieving right now because of a terrible loss in the Hicks family.
Coco Hicks is survived by her mother, Bekka, and her brother Issac, who are severely hurt and are still in the ICU in Raleigh, her sister Maddie, and her brother Caleb.
She had this amazing smile that could brighten up any place she went to. She was a big part of the HOV group, not just as a player on the court, but as a teammate and friend who always put in her time and heart for the team.
People who knew her say the way she played and the energy she brought to the gym will stick with everyone for a long time.
No one really has the right words for something this awful. The whole family is going through something no one should ever have to face.
Right now, the focus is on coming together to show them support. A GoFundMe has been set up to help cover the costs they’re facing now and whatever comes up later.
It started with a goal of $20,000, but the hope is that people will give more if they can to really make a difference for them.
Beyond money, the biggest thing people are asking for is prayer. Pray for Bekka and Isaac to keep fighting and recover from their injuries.
Pray for Maddie and Caleb to find the strength they need as they make hard choices and carry all these heavy feelings. And pray for peace and comfort to come to the entire family as they start to heal.
During this challenging time, we pray for the strength of Coco’s family and wish for her mother and brother’s speedy recovery.
Rest Easy, Coco and Andy!
