Jerron Lowe, who served as the Vice President for Human Resources at Seattle University, passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2026, at the age of 45.

The news has left many people at the university and beyond feeling a deep sense of sadness and loss.

Jerron is survived by his wife, Arlett, his kids, Maëlle and Brooks, his parents, sisters, and extended family.

He joined Seattle University back in 2022 and, since then has made quite an impact.

People remember him for being thoughtful and kind, always generous with his time and attention. He had this warm presence, with an engaging smile and a gentle laugh that made others feel at ease right away.

Whether in meetings or just around campus, he brought a sense of care and positivity that touched colleagues, students, and friends alike.

Jerron’s work went beyond just handling human resources duties; he helped build an environment where people felt supported, respected, and included.

He listened well, led with compassion, and genuinely cared about the well-being of those around him. Many who knew him describe him as a true friend and a steady leader who lifted others up.

Kelli Jackson, a family friend, expressed her grief in a Facebook post, which reads:

Jerron was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, brother, colleague and a true friend to so many. He was an amazing man whose love, strength, and presence touched countless lives. The impact he made on his family and everyone who knew him will never be forgotten.
Our hearts are broken as we grieve this loss and hold close the love he gave so freely. We ask that you continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. We sincerely thank you for the overwhelming love and support during this incredibly difficult time.

Similarly, Seattle University also shared a tribute post, writing:

The SU community will continue to celebrate his life and the positive influence he had on so many people and on our university

To honor Jerron’s life, there will be a Mass at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, held in the Chapel of St. Ignatius on campus.

After the service, the chapel will stay open from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. as a peaceful place for anyone who wants to remember him quietly or reflect.

The Mass is open to everyone, people from the university as well as the wider community, so those who knew him can come together to celebrate the good he did and the impact he had.

During this difficult time, we pray for the strength of Jerron’s wife, kids, parents, siblings, and extended family.

Rest In Heavenly Peace, Jerron Lowe!
