Police in Lexington, Kentucky, have been looking for an 11-year-old boy named Jacob Troxell after he went missing on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
He was reportedly last seen on Tuesday afternoon, around five o’clock in the five hundred block of Breckenridge Street. Officers thought he traveled on foot, so they asked everyone to keep watch.
Jacob stands about 5 feet tall and weighs close to 80 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
When people saw him last, he had on an orange jacket, pants that were either black or khaki, plus gray Nike tennis shoes.
Meanwhile, his parents, Jacob Troxell and Sarah Troxell, and the extended family have been looking for him and sharing the news in hopes of finding their boy.
Traci Chaney, his grandmother, penned a post sharing pictures of Jacob and requesting everyone to help them locate him. She wrote:
Guys my grandson is missing and has been since 5:00 eastland area , please if you have seen him let me or his parents
Jessica Fakhreddine, his aunt, also shared a post, which reads:
THIS IS MY NEPHEW HES NAME IS JACOB HE HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE 5 THIS AFTERNOON.. PLEASE IF YOU SEE HIM OR RHINK YOU HAVE SEEN PLEASE CONTACT MY BROTHER Jacob Troxell OR SISTER N LAW SARAH TROXELL.. PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT.. OR EVEN CALL911 AT THIS POINT .
Similarly, the Lexington Police Department also put out the word through their alerts.
Many out there kept the family in prayers and have been supporting them in every possible way in their power.
One wrote, “Omg! I’m praying hard that you guys find him and he’s okay. Please keep us posted.”
Thus far, any further details surrounding Jacob Troxell’s update haven’t been published by his family nor by any credible sources.
Meanwhile, the police are repeating the description so more people stay aware and keep an eye out while they search.
